Rumour Mill was inspired by the Norman Rockwell painting “The Gossip” and is a wild Ornette Coleman-like free bop tune that could feature anyone who is willing to play! Solo sections use freely cued melody statements as backgrounds that are conducted. Also, the band walks off-stage, talking on phones during a free/open piano solo.
